COMMISSION: Presentation to recognize Gwen Washburn

The Churchill County Board of Commissioners will meet Thursday at 8:15 a.m. in the chambers at 155 N. Taylor St.

The commission will consider and take possible action regarding the following:

Zone change application filed by Loretta M. and Theodore L. Guazzini for property located at 2949 Austin Highway, encompassing the funeral home and cemetery.

Proclamation recognizing this month as Nevada Wildfire Awareness Month.

Recognition and appreciation of Gwen Washburn’s commitment and service to the Nevada Rural Housing Authority.

Presentation, discussion and action on future planning efforts of the Nevada Department of Transportation.

Update on the Churchill County Adult Detention Facility construction.

First reading regarding local regulated Tariff #17 changes presented by Jim Stilwell, senior revenue analyst, CC Communications.

Approval of the amended conservation easement purchase agreement proposal for Floyd J. Goins and Gayle Goins.

Approval of agreement with Granville Utilities, LLC to settle outstanding operation and maintenance fees for an expired development, as well as an agreement clarifying the status of water rights which have a point of diversion at the county’s municipal well.
