Reno man fails to register as sex offender says Carson City Sheriff’s Office

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

FRIDAY

At 4:23 a.m., a 21-year-old Sacramento, Calif., man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, speeding, failure to maintain a lane, driver’s license suspended and expired registration after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Fairview Drive and Roop Street. Bail was set at $1,670.

At 12:44 p.m., a 26-year-old Gardnerville woman was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies responded to reports of a woman stealing doughnuts from the Market Street Walmart. Bail was set at $2,250.

At 2:00 p.m., a 24-year-old Gardnerville man was arrested on suspicion of battery after deputies responded to reports of a man attacking staff at the Flieschmann Drive Mallory Crisis Center. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 8:63 p.m., a 51-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery near the 2800 block of Bel Air Way. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 10:33 p.m., a 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of obstruction and contempt of court after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 900 block of Woodside Drive. Bail was set at $800.

SATURDAY

At 1:25 a.m., a 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of failure to appear after deputies conducted a consensual stop near Deer Run and Brunswick Canyon. Bail was set at $215.

At 2:24 a.m., a 21-year-old Gardnerville man was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Carson and Stewart Streets. Bail was set at $500.

At 8:29 a.m., a 24-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 600 block of Bulette Drive. Bail was set at $3,000.

SUNDAY

At 12:15 a.m., a 33-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of driving without a valid license and three counts of contempt of court after deputies initiated a traffic stop near 5th and Stewart Streets. Bail was set at $1,825.

At 1:55 a.m., a 27-year-old Gardnerville woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI and disobedience to a traffic control device after deputies responded to reports of a deputy-involved crash near Roop and William Streets. Bail was set at $1,040.

At 10:42 a.m., Christopher Shaw, 45, of Reno, was arrested on suspicion of felony use of false information to avoid prosecution, felony sex offender failed to register, contempt of court and driving on a revoked license after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Saliman Road and Fairview Drive. Bail was set at $16,237.

At 4:17 p.m., a 54-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, suspended registration, restricted license violation and violation of pre-trial conditions after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Adams and Curry Street. Bail was set at $4,100.

At 4:34 p.m., a 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 3200 block of Roop Street. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 7:25 p.m., Timothy Ray, 32, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and domestic battery near the 1400 block of Goldfield Avenue. Bail was set at $6,500.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes.
