Phyllis passed away from complications of ALS on January 1st, 2017 at her home in Carson City, NV.
Phyllis was a fourth generation Nevadan and graduated from Carson High School in 1967.
She worked for the State of Nevada for 20 years and then started her own medical transcriptionist business out of her home.
Phyllis had no children, but took care of her father up until his death in 1989.
Phyllis and Jerry loved to travel and visited Jerusalem, Cost Rica, cruised the Panama Canal, Mexico, Canada, Niagra Falls, but her favorite was Sedona, AZ, where she was amazed by the Grand Canyon.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy L. and Edward M. Goni.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jerry; her brothers, Kenneth Edward Goni (Cheryl), Joseph Raphael Goni; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held on June 3rd at 10:30am at St. Theresa of Avila, 3000 N. Lompa Ln., Carson City, NV 89706.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the ALS Foundation.
