The Carson City Chamber’s May Soup’s On! luncheon is featuring Caren Roblin, a regional expert in social media who will address how to combat negative posts.

A Millennial, Roblin knows every aspect of social media and keeps current with all social media trends.

Roblin is the director of content for the Sierra Nevada Media Group and advises newsrooms around Northern Nevada on social media best practices.

She was formerly employed as the digital editor and social media manager for Reno Gazette-Journal and currently serves on the Reynolds School of Journalism Advisory Council at the University of Nevada, Reno, and regularly mentors journalism students.

Roblin is the 2014 recipient of the Nevada Women’s Fund Women of Achievement award.

Soup’s On! will be held at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, at the Gold Dust West.

Tickets in advance cost $16 and include lunch. Tickets on the day of the event are $20. The public is invited to attend with advance reservation by calling 775-882-1565.
