Ronald McDonald Care Mobile stopping in Carson City to give pediatric dental service

Nevada Health Center’s Ronald McDonald Care Mobile is making local stops to further its mission of providing access to quality healthcare to children in Northern Nevada.

The Care Mobile will be parked at the Silver Stage Pantry, 3595 Ramsey Weeks Cutoff in Silver Springs, from 1 to 5:30 p.m. June 4; and 7:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5:30 p.m. June 5

In Carson City, the vehicle will be parked at the McDonald’s at 3905 S. Carson St. from 7:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5:30 p.m. June 6 and 7.

Staffed with a dentist, dental hygienist and assistants, the Care Mobile provides restorative and preventive care, exams, cleanings, sealants, fluoride treatments, fillings, extractions, x-rays, and oral health education.

The staff focuses on treatment, education, prevention, and advocacy for children.

Most dental insurance plans are accepted, including Medicaid and Nevada Check-up. A sliding fee scale is available for uninsured patients.
