CCSD to discuss programs’ successes, different upcoming meetings

The Churchill County School District Board of Trustees will meet tomorrow at 6 p.m. in the Old High School auditorium (“The Pit”).

Items for discussion and possible action include the following:

Report regarding STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) labs and costs associated to run them.

Report regarding success of the Jump Start program including current enrollment numbers.

Report regarding success of the JAG program including current enrollment numbers.

Update regarding the district’s financial audit.

Scheduling of a special board meeting at an elementary school to discuss achievements and challenges as well as receive staff input.

Information about professional development meetings that occur at the middle and high school regarding the math curriculum.

Update on district practices regarding disclosing public health information to parents.

After adjournment, there will be a litigation conference with legal counsel to receive information from counsel regarding potential or existing litigation.
