A local group has formed to encourage and educate those who love to read and write.
The Carson City Christian Writers meets monthly on 10 a.m. on the third Saturday on the second floor of the Carson City Library.
The group focuses on the mechanics of publishing in both the secular and Christian forums.
Different topics are covered each month. Attendees share their experiences in publishing or attending writer’s conferences. Critiquing is available for those who want it.
Guest speakers are scheduled periodically. Kathy Boyd Fellure, from Ione, Calif., will be attending the August meeting. She will be sharing her publishing experiences and her new book, “The Language of the Lake,” set in Lake Tahoe. This is her first book in a trilogy.
