Woman tried to strangle business partner, Carson City Sheriff’s Office says

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

FRIDAY

At 9:59 a.m., Jonathan Siebrandt, 53, was arrested on multiple charges after deputies were called to the area of South Carson Street on a report of a vehicle with a stolen license plate driving erratically. The vehicle was stopped at Carson and Clearview and Siebrandt subsequently charged with possession of stolen property — the license plate — DUI drugs and possession of paraphernalia — a meth pipe. He was also charged with no driver’s license in possession and a Sparks Municipal Court warrant. Bail was set at $26,975.

At 4:03 p.m., Kini Romero, 25, was charged with possession of both meth and heroin as well as paraphernalia after she was stopped by Walmart security for alleged petit larceny. The drugs were found in a search of her bag following the arrest. Bail was set at $6,250.

At 9 p.m., Shannon Atkins, 48, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and domestic battery after deputies responded to a business on Highway 50 east. She is accused of pointing a gun at her business partner and attempting to strangle him during an argument. Bail was set at $23,000.

SATURDAY

At 1:18 a.m., a 52-year-old woman was arrested after deputies were called to a residence on Woodcrest for a report of an unwanted woman refusing to leave. The arrest report says she refused to leave the residence and cursed at deputies before punching one of them in the chest and resisting attempts to get her under control. She was charged with battery on a protected person — the deputy — and obstructing. Bail was set at $2,800.

At 12:21 p.m., a 35-year-old transient was arrested at an apartment on H Street after deputies responded to a possible domestic battery. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant and charged with obstruction for fighting deputies when they attempted to handcuff him, then threatening to kill them. Bail was set at $3,300.

At 10:58 p.m., Shawn Olmsted was arrested after deputies were called to an apartment on Menlo Drive for a report of a fugitive from justice at the residence. The arrest report says he was wanted on a felony warrant issued in Texas and dispatch said he was also the person who fled from an NHP traffic stop earlier in the day. After negotiations, the arrest report says he exited the apartment peacefully and was taken into custody. He was held without bail.

At 11:14 p.m., a 33-year-old mechanic was arrested after his motorcycle crashed into the back of a van after popping a wheelie near the track on Old Clear Creek Road. He was charged with DUI alcohol 1st as well as causing damage to the van. Bail was set at $3,500.

SUNDAY

At 12:34 p.m., a 32-year-old landscaper was arrested on a Douglas County warrant after deputies responded to an address on Hampton Drive. Bail was set at $199.

MONDAY

At 12:28 a.m., a 49-year-old resort employee was arrested on an outstanding warrant after a traffic stop at Highway 50 and Brown Street for a broken headlight. Bail was set at $955.

At 9:29 p.m., a 46-year-old service adviser was arrested after a resident in a Hot Springs Road apartment complex called saying she heard a loud bang and a bullet hole appeared in her ceiling. The resident of the apartment upstairs said the pistol went off while he was cleaning it. He was arrested on a charge of possession of a firearm while intoxicated. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 11:50 p.m., a 38-year-old was arrested outside Walmart on a warrant issued by the Austin, Nevada, Justice Court. Bail was set at $500.

TUESDAY

At 1:27 a.m., a 21-year-old man was arrested at the Gold Dust West on a warrant charging violation of suspended sentence conditions. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 5:21 a.m., Christina Pasos, 44, was booked in a warrant charging attempted burglary and held without bail.
