Carson City Sheriff’s Office to conduct tactical training Friday

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a tactical training during daytime hours Friday in an enclosed building in the area of Seventh and Carson streets. Residents and those who work in the area may hear the sounds of gunfire and explosions. Please note there is no need to be concerned; this training is in a controlled setting and secure from civilians. The goal of the training is to equip officers with the skills and knowledge needed to combat crisis situations. In addition, the training is intended to quicken response times, limit casualties and control threats.
