Suspect sought in armed robbery

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in attempting to identify a suspect in an armed robbery.

At approximately 10 p.m. Wednesday, an unknown male subject walked into a business in the 1400 block of College Parkway. He produced a black handgun and forced the employee of the business to hand over money from the cash register and took other items from the store. The man then fled from the scene.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male approximately 35 to 45 years of age. He had a mustache and a small neatly trimmed patch of hair under his lower lip. The man was wearing white shoes, blue jeans, a tan or beige jacket and a blue beanie hat. The man spoke with a thick Spanish accent. Stills from the video surveillance were captured at the business.
