Prison officials are investigating the stabbing of an inmate at the Warm Springs medium security prison in Carson City on Friday.
Prison spokesman Scott Kelley confirmed that the male offender was stabbed Friday morning. A medical helicopter arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital for medical care.
No names were available and no further information provided by prison officials.
