Nathan G. Strong has been named the new executive director of Opportunity Alliance Nevada.

Strong, former executive director of the Churchill Entrepreneurial Development Association, brings with him years of experience supporting the residents in Nevada’s rural areas. In addition to CEDA, his experience includes the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe, Storey County with the Census Bureau and teaching in the Churchill County School District, Western Nevada College’s Community Education program, and most recently at Northern Nevada Literacy Council.
Strong’s experience working with a statewide organization came as serving as the inaugural president of the Nevada Economic Development Association with Lynne Keller, NEDA’s original treasurer. The OANV said Strong is beginning his new position with an extensive Listening Tour by engaging the community and funding partners who work with OANV and learning about the programs and OANV’s projects.

If you or your organization would like to be added to the Listening Tour schedule, email Strong at Nate@OpportunityAllianceNV.org to request a meeting time and to set up a ZOOM call. Although Strong would love to meet with people in person, the OANV said ZOOM meetings may continue as a necessity until Nevada and the county re-establish dominance over the spread of the COVID-19 virus and it is safe for everyone to meet in person.
