Man pulls gun on co-worker, Carson City Sheriff says

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
TUESDAY
• At 8:53 p.m., a 40-year-old woman was arrested outside a residence on Woodside for violating the no-alcohol clause of her bail conditions. Deputies were dispatched to that area for a report of a verbal dispute. She was held without bail.
WEDNESDAY
• At 1:02 a.m., a 49-year-old man was arrested after deputies were dispatched to Carson and William streets for a report of a man in the middle of the intersection screaming. He was charged as a drunk pedestrian and an ex-felon failing to register. Bail was set at $175.
• At 1:31 a.m., a 34-year-old waitress was arrested on two outstanding warrants dating to 2014 after deputies were dispatched to a residence on Long Street for a report of a woman harassing a resident. Bail was set at $6,000.
• At 9:54 p.m., a 78-year-old man was charged with two counts of domestic battery 1st offense for allegedly hitting his wife and his son as well as one count of harassment. Bail was set at $6,250.
• At 9:27 a.m., Calvin Dupont, 58, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon after a report of a man damaging two vehicles with a pole and throwing the metal pole at a person outside the Ron Wood Center. He was also charged with two counts of destruction of property and a deferred sentencing violation. Bail was set at $27,000.
• At 1:28 p.m., Bobbie Jo White, 41, was arrested at a tunnel running under Carson Street after a report that she was using drugs in front of her children. She was charged with child abuse/neglect, use of controlled substances in the presence of children and her son held as a child in need of supervision. The arrest report says evidence of drugs was found in the tent inside the tunnel. Bail was set at $50,150.
• At 7:25 p.m., a 34-year-old woman was arrested at a residence on Ramsey Circle on an outstanding warrant for drug violations. Bail was set at $2,500.
• At 9:37 p.m., a 41-year-old patient at the Mallory Center was arrested on a charge of battery on a protected person for spitting on a nurse. Bail was set at $1,000.
THURSDAY
• At 8:23 a.m., Kevin Rice, 41, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon after deputies were dispatched to Executive Pointe Way for a welfare check after a 911 caller hung up. The business owner told deputies one employee pulled a gun on another employee during an argument. The suspect left in a vehicle when the owner pointed him out. When deputies caught up with him on Bobarly Court, they executed a high-risk stop with guns drawn. They found an AR15 and the handgun inside the vehicle within reach of the defendant. He told deputies he was assaulted by another employee. The owner of the company said Rice told him he was quitting because he would not work with the other employee. As Rice began to leave after being knocked down, the arrest report says he pulled the pistol from his pocket and threatened to kill the other employee chasing him around vehicles in the parking lot before leaving. The arrest report says most of the incident was caught on video. Rice was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and brandishing a weapon. Bail was set at $20,500.
• At 10:46 a.m., a 33-year-old man was charged with tampering with a motor vehicle after deputies responded to an address on Fleischmann Way for a report of a vehicle burglary in progress. The reporting party told deputies she watched him try to get into several vehicles in the parking lot. The arrest report says deputies witnessed him trying to get into a white Lexus when they arrived. Bail was set at $1,000.
• At 3:42 p.m., John Scurfield, 38, and Cristen Thomas, 32, were arrested at Gold Dust West after security called to report a possible drug violation. Security entered their room after they vacated it and spotted needles and a small amount of meth. A search was conducted after deputies received a warrant and evidence of heroin was also found there. Both were charged with possession of drugs and paraphernalia. He was also charged with resisting an officer. His bail was set at $4,500. Hers was set at $3,500.
FRIDAY
• At 1:36 a.m., a 20-year-old man was arrested outside an apartment on Division Street after a neighbor reported him walking the stairs outside his former girlfriend’s apartment. When ordered to surrender behind the complex, he instead tried to flee. After he was caught, he was charged with violating a temporary protection order barring contact with his ex-girlfriend, violating pre-trial conditions and resisting officers. Bail was set at $6,300.
