Carson City road report for February 15 to 21, 2021

The following information applies to the period of Feb. 15-21:
Road closures are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
• 5th Street will remain closed in both directions between Marsh Road and Roundup Road, Monday-Sunday, all day, for reconstruction of the sewer lift station. Detours will be in place and residential access will be allowed.
• Cochise Street will be closed near the intersection of Appion Way, Tuesday and Wednesday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for utility work. Traffic will be detoured up Appion Way to Voltaire Street and Roland Street to ensure continued access to the commercial shopping area and nearby restaurants.
Lane restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
• 5th Street will have shoulder closures between Stewart Street and Carson Street, Tuesday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for ADA sidewalk upgrades and crosswalk enhancements.
• Airport Road at the intersection of U.S. 50 will have single lane closures with flagger operations, Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for striping and pavement markings. As always, please don’t drive in freshly painted stripes.
• Cortez Street will be closed between Calico Street and Stonewall Street, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for utility replacement work.
• Goshute Way will be closed between Kingsley Lane and Kitchen Drive, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for utility replacement work.
