The Carnival celebration and Street Fair to come off in Carson during the first week of July will in no way interfere with the shrill scream of the American Eagle on the Eastern slope of Mount Davidson. Grand Marshal and President of the Day will be William Sharon. James G. Fair will present the State of Nevada with three Protestant Orphan Asylums. John McDonnell will throw gold bricks at the Miner’s Union. A float is being arranged by the Police Department – representing the gun fights between Miles Finlan and Dave Crosby. The parade will be followed by a street fight between rival hose companies of the Comstock.
