The Carson City Board of Supervisors will meet Thursday at 8:30 a.m. in the Crowell Board Room at the Community Center on 851 E. William St.

Agenda items include:
• The presentation of a biannual report on the conditions of the Carson City jail, including information about any prisoner deaths within the last six months.
• The presentation of a proclamation to recognize July as Parks & Recreation Month.
• Discussion and possible action regarding purchasing authority on several contracts. The larger city deals include contracts not to exceed $1.6 million toward radio equipment for the Nevada Department of Transportation, $1.2 million toward city temporary staffing services, and $2.9 million toward the Water Resource Recovery Facility Electrical Improvements Project. Less expensive potential purchases include fire department equipment, food for city jail inmates, geographic information system services for multiple city departments, and vaccines for community vaccination programs.
• Discussion and possible action in directing staff to initiate due diligence procedures for the sale or disposal of a property on 2621 Northgate Lane.

• The Carson City Planning Commission will also meet on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
One agenda item of note for that meeting is whether the commission will direct staff to investigate the Empire Ranch golf course for special use permit infractions.
Staff have documented multiple instances of grading without a permit at the course this year. If conducted, the investigation could potentially result in permit revocation or reevaluation.
