The arrival of around 100 motorcyclists in Carson Valley on Friday as they made their way north on Highway 395 resulted in a handful of arrests.

Members of the Mongols Motorcycle Club arrived in Gardnerville around 2 p.m. Friday.

Douglas County deputies followed the group and pulled some over before a chase started when they allegedly ran the stoplight at Topsy Lane.

They had a police escort with lights and sirens heading north on Interstate 580 until they ran into a roadblock in Washoe Valley.

No one was injured, but the northbound lanes of the Interstate were closed and traffic diverted while authorities sorted it out.

In addition to Douglas, Carson City, Washoe County and the Nevada Highway Patrol were involved.

“They violated traffic laws and refused to stop after the violations,” Undersheriff Ron Elges said on Monday. “They eventually pulled over and were contacted in Carson City by us and Carson City Sheriff’s Office.

Douglas made arrests for failure to obey traffic control devices, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and one with a warrant from another jurisdiction.
