Update: 4.1 Quake hits Lake Tahoe, shakes Carson City; numerous aftershocks reported

An earthquake measuring at 4.1 hit in the middle of Lake Tahoe at 8:25 this morning. It was the second quake in the middle of Tahoe today.
The quake shook Carson City. Multiple aftershocks, have been reported since the 4.3. A 2.7 was reported at 8:46 a.m. A 3.1 was reported at 9:04 a.m. A 2.8 was reported at 9:22.

The quake was originally reported as a 4.4, but was changed to a 4.3. It was later downsized to a 4.1 magnitude.

Earlier Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey Berkeley Seismological Laboratory reported a 2.9 earthquake at 4:59 a.m.  just on the California side of Lake Tahoe. No injuries or damages were reported. The quake was felt by Carson City residents.
