Nevada Highway Patrol identifies victim in fatal crash

The man killed in a Thursday crash at I-580 and South Carson Street has been identified as Charles Hodges, 49, of Gardnerville.
Hodges died of injuries suffered while crossing the busy roadway. According to Trooper Charles Caster, Hodges was in the crosswalk on the northbound on-ramp when he was struck.
The driver of the Nissan, Catarino Sotelo Jacinto, 36, left the scene. He was arrested later at his Reno home and faces charges including felony hit and run causing death, failure to report a vehicle crash and failure to render aid.
