The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is seeking the help of the public in a hit and run which occurred on Nov. 11 at the intersection of South Curry Street and West Koontz Lane, according to a news release.

There is no suspect at this time but a vehicle description was obtained. The suspect drives an early 2015 to 2020 Dodge Ram pickup truck black in color with an unknown license plate. The pickup was hauling a black trailer with a white and red backhoe excavator.
According to the reporting party and video collected on scene, the driver stopped at the stop sign on South Curry Street and West Koontz Lane, the release said. The boom of the backhoe caught the phone line as the truck drove through the intersection and brought down the phone line. The driver did not stop and continued to drive southbound on South Curry Street.
If you recognize the vehicle, call the Carson City Sheriff’s Office, reference case number 21-7470, or Deputy J. Carillo at jcarillo@carson.org or 775-887-2020 Ext. 45689
