Carson City road report for Oct. 18 to 24, 2021

Road report as of Thursday. The following applies to Oct. 18-24:
Road closures are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
• Curry Street between 5th Street and Musser Street will be closed in the northbound direction, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for road construction. Pedestrian closures and detours will also be in place. Please plan accordingly.
• Kings Canyon Road west of Longview Way remains closed seven days a week, all day, for roadway reconstruction. Only local residential access will be provided. The Waterfall Trailhead and parking area is closed. There is no access or parking for the trails. Please do not come up Kings Canyon unless you live in the area.
Lane restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
• Long Street between Roop Street and Rand Street will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
• Marian Avenue at Long Street will be flagger controlled, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
• Molly Street at Long Street will be flagger controlled, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
• Saliman Road at Long Street will be flagger controlled, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
• Silver Sage Drive between Snyder Avenue and Colorado Drive will be reduced to one lane, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for road repair. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
• State Street at Long Street will be flagger controlled, Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for roadway reconstruction. Please expect delays and consider an alternate route.
Dayton closure
Sheep Camp Road between South End Drive and Jasper Lane will be closed to traffic starting Oct. 18 through Oct. 22 from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. due to subdivision development construction. Please use alternate routes, this also includes emergency response between the two developments. The road will be opened after work hours and reopened fully soon as possible. Over the next six months, there will be closures from time to time on this section of road.
