Two Fallon residents who were originally charged earlier this year with murder and three other counts pleaded guilty earlier this month in Tenth Judicial District Court to involuntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence.
Judge Thomas Stockard released Robert Shannon Collins Jr. and Torri Anne Gibbs on their own recognizance, and they will appear in court in early October for sentencing.
Count 1 is accessory to the crime of involuntary manslaughter, a Category D felony, and the second count is destroying or concealing evidence, a gross misdemeanor. The penalty for count 1 is 1 to 5 years in prison and a fine not to exceed $10,000. County 2 calls for imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 364 days or a fine not to exceed $2,000.

Both defendants were taken into custody earlier this year.
An investigation by the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office concluded Collins and Gibbs killed 48-year-old Sean Erin Green more than two years ago. Sheriff Richard Hickox said the CCSO responded to a call on 71 Rio Vista Drive on March 26, 2020. He said deputies found a man inside a travel trailer.
“The death was determined to be a homicide based on evidence on scene,” Hickox said.
According to Hickox, Collins was extradited to Fallon from Kansas and then held without bail in the Churchill County Detention Facility.
Gibbs was taken into custody in Lyon County, and Hickox said she was held at the Churchill County Detention Center, also without bail.
The original charges for Collins included the following:
First degree felony murder with use of a firearm, specifically a handgun; conspiracy to commit murder; burglary with a firearm or deadly weapon charges; discharging a Firearm at or into an occupied structure; and destroying or concealing evidence.
Gibbs faced similar charges including first degree felony murder with the use of a firearm; conspiracy to commit murder; discharging a firearm at or into an occupied structure; and destroying or concealing evidence, a gross misdemeanor.
