To my fellow veterans and their families:

At Veterans Guest House, we have one purpose: to help you gain access to the healthcare you need. Our organization started almost 30 years ago when it was discovered that veterans and their families were sleeping in their cars. They couldn’t afford the cost of a motel when they came to Reno for medical appointments. While much has improved since then, we still have a long way to go.

Overnight stays. Meals. Transportation. Help with basic needs. Short-term assisted care and respite. These are just a few of the ways we help. As motel prices are expected to surge by 13% in 2023 and inflation continues to rear its ugly head, we know more veterans and families could benefit from using us as a resource.

We’re free. We’re safe. We’re flexible. And we’re here for you, always.

Our facility is conveniently located in the heart of Reno with close access to medical offices, hospitals, and dental clinics. Veterans Guest House is appointed with comfortable beds, a welcoming courtyard, laundry facilities, cable TV, snacks, toiletries, and other comforts of home. Free continental breakfast and hosted dinners also are available. We have you covered.

The community has built this lovely place specifically for veterans and their families. It would be a waste to allow it to sit empty. I invite you to come stay, whether you need a place for a day or multiple weeks; whether it is the veteran or family member seeking treatment; or whether it is for routine or emergency care. We eagerly await welcoming veterans, their family members, and even their vaccinated pets to stay with us.

Veterans Guest House was born out of the belief that the sacrifice of our veterans and their family members should never be forgotten. We do not accept any government funding which means our services are available to you regardless of your required length of stay, characterization of discharge, or what provider you wish to see.

If you are coming to Reno for medical purposes, we have a special place for you.

Come be our guest.
