Churchill County is offering COVID testing this month to anyone aged 5 years and older.

Vaccines are offered at both the Miner’s Road Public Health Site and the William N. Pennington Life Center; testing is only offered at Miner’s Road. There is a shortage of rapid COVID tests across Nevada. Currently, the county is only doing PCR tests and they may take up to five days for results.

Vaccines and PCR testing offered Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays in February at the Miner’s Road site. Vaccines only offered at the Pennington Life Center on Mondays and Wednesdays. No services are offered on Feb. 21 due to the Pres
idents’ Day holiday.
All three vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson) are available at all vaccine clinics.

Booster shots are available to anyone 16+ who is six months out from their second dose of Pfizer or Moderna or two months out from the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Bring your vaccination card with you if seeking a booster, second or third dose.

While county public health does not have rapid tests to offer, residents may buy their own and bring it to any testing clinic and county health staff will administer the test and certify the results. Those seeking a PCR COVID test and the quickest results back possible may pre-register for testing. PCR tests currently take about five days to get results back.

Churchill County offers monoclonal antibody treatment for eligible individuals. Please call the County Health Department at 775-423-6695, option 2, to discuss eligibility and treatment.

Routine blood pressure checks also offered at the Pennington Life Center on Mondays, Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Seasonal flu shots offered to anyone six months and older (minors with parental consent) at all vaccine clinics in February.
