Carson City celebrated a “Twos-Day” Tuesday this week, and for a pair of local couples, 2-22-22 marked the perfect day to make two families one.

The Myers
Marcus and Rosy Myers met at Carson High School almost a decade ago. They started dating during their senior year and later moved to Reno together.
For them, Feb. 22, 2022 was a happy coincidence. Marcus has a February birthday, and he liked the idea of adding another special occasion to February.
“I’m kind of biased toward the winter months I suppose,” he said.
He and Rosy said their “I Do’s” in a century-old barn in Idaho on Tuesday. They’re thinking about visiting Jamaica for their honeymoon.

The Kallenbachs
Bre and Niles Kallenbach have known each other since middle school.
“We were 11, and we dated for a bit when we were that age. We went to the rec center dances. … He was my first kiss,” Bre said.
They rekindled their romance later in life when they found each other through Facebook. They tied the knot at Whitney Peak in Reno on Tuesday, bringing together their families, including the daughter they had together, Penelope, and Bre’s three children, Audrey, Raelyn, and RJ.
As for the date – “We’re just a big numbers family,” Bre said.
She and Niles noticed it as they were planning the wedding eight months ago and decided to organize their unforgettable Tuesday around it.
