Legacy Christian Academy will hold an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at 1600 Snyder Ave., Building B.
The school is preparing to open for kindergarteners through eighth graders Sept. 6. As of June, fall enrollment already had reached more than half its capacity for the campus.
Prospective parents and students are invited to attend Sunday’s event to meet the staff and school leadership. Staff members from LCA’s neighbor, Grace and Wonder Child Development Center at 1620 Snyder Ave., also will take part.
The school’s mascot Lewis the lion will be present, and families can enjoy games, barbecue hot dogs and tour the facility.
LCA is partnering with the Bridge, New Life, Hilltop and Calvary Chapel Carson City churches. The school will offer an academically rigorous biblical worldview integrated into its curriculum with weekly chapel, and families interested in homeschool programs are encouraged to fill out a form provided on the school’s website.
