Former judge Robey Willis, who earlier announced he would seek a seat on the Carson City Board of Supervisors, has now said via email he will not be a candidate for ward 3.
“I’m really sorry to do this,” said Willis in the email. “After many hours of reflection I realized that I probably couldn’t fulfill the entire term and I didn’t want to stand in the way of someone who could.
“Carson City and all the people here have been very good to me and my family for many years,” he added. “I’ve been proud to serve the community that has meant so much to me but this wouldn’t work out.”
