Carson City Historic Resources Commission launches annual scavenger hunt
The Historic Resources Commission awarded the Nevada Builder’s Alliance the 2022 Historic Preservation Award for restoring the Bank Saloon on May 5, 2022. The HRC also kicked off its annual scavenger hunt.
The hunt for historic architecture is on in downtown Carson City. In honor of Historic Preservation and Archeological Awareness Month, the city Historic Resources Commission has opened the 2022 Scavenger Hunt. The theme of the year is 1868-1900 architecture. Participants will use up-close photos to identify buildings in the historic district. For a copy of the scavenger hunt, visit 108 E. Proctor St. or find it online at https://www.carson.org/Home/Components/News/News/2901/7655. Completed answers are due by 3 p.m. on May 31. Answers may be submitted in person at 108 E. Proctor St. or emailed to planning@carson.org. For the fourth year in a row, Jim Phalan of Fox Brewpub is donating a gift card to the person whose hunt is drawn from correct entries.
