Carson City residents gathered at Lone Mountain Cemetery on Friday to remember deceased veterans and place flags at their graves ahead of the Memorial Day holiday.
The event was organized by Chapter 7 of the Disabled American Veterans.
Flag retrieval will be Monday, May 30 at 4 p.m.

Carson City residents placed flags at Lone Mountain Cemetery on Friday to honor deceased veterans in honor of Memorial Day. The event was organized by Chapter 7 of the Disabled American Veterans.

 

The Hefner family takes turns staking the ground to plant flags. Father John Hefner and his dad are both members of the Nevada Army National Guard.
