The Carson City Farmers Market is coming back for the summer, returning June 4-Oct. 1 Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
According to manager Breana Coons, the market will remain in the parking lot on 412 N. Stewart St., east of the Carson Nugget, consistent with last year’s market.
The market moved its location in 2021 due to construction on the Curry Street parking lot. Coons said that she’s keeping her eyes open for a more permanent future home.
This year, she’s said she is expecting 71 total vendors, including crowd favorites like Ash Canyon Flower Farm, Black Rock Bison, and Jamtastic Jams. The market also has two new food vendors, Fritanga Nica serving Nicaraguan-style food, and Inglesia De Jesucristo Palabra Miel, a church organization selling tacos.
“Come with water (and sunscreen). It’s going to be hot,” Coons said.
She added that pets are not allowed at the farmers market.
