Brad Harris, vice president of Northern Nevada and California and Stacy Woodbury, manager of Public Affairs, for Southwest Gas, took time to present a $5,000 check to the Carson City Schools Foundation at the school board meeting Tuesday.
The funding came as part of Southwest Gas employees contributing through the “BLUE (Building Lives Up Everywhere)” volunteer team and Southwest Gas Foundation, which focuses on unmet needs in the community. These funds were specified to benefit teachers and classrooms through the foundation’s mini grant program where regular funding may otherwise not reach.
Southwest Gas provides natural gas services to more than 2.1 million customers in Arizona, California and Nevada.
