NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY
DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT for the WHA #2 Project in Stewart,
Carson City, Nevada
The Washoe Housing Authority (WHA) announces the availability of and invites public
comments on the Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) prepared for the proposed implementation of a residential development project in Stewart Indian Community, Carson City, Nevada. The project would occur between Snyder Avenue and Bennet Avenue, immediately south of US-50, in Stewart. The purpose and need of the proposed project is to provide affordable housing to community members by constructing twenty (20) single-family residence homes and a community center. The Draft EA has been available for review at the Washoe Housing Authority office (1588 Watasheamu Drive, Gardnerville, NV 89460) since Friday, April 21, and will continue to be available until Monday, May 8. Comments on the Draft EA, or a request for a hard copy may be submitted to WHA, ATTN: Mr. Martin Montgomery (WHA #2) at the WHA office, or via email at martin@whauthority. com. Comments must be submitted via email (and comments submitted by mail must be postmarked) no later than May 8, 2023.
