Adriana Guzmán Fralick is the new chair of Nevada’s Cannabis Compliance Board, Gov. Joe Lombardo announced in a Thursday news release. Guzmán Fralick was initially appointed by Lombardo to the CCB in January 2023.

“Adriana has shown excellent judgment and demonstrated a comprehensive understanding of industry issues throughout her career and time on the board, and I’m confident in her ability to lead the board into the future,” Lombardo said in the release.

Lombardo thanked Michael Douglas for his service as outgoing chair and for his continued service on the board.

Raised in Northern Nevada and now a Reno-based attorney, Guzmán Fralick has an extensive record of public service in Nevada, the release said. Guzmán Fralick’s legal and regulatory experience spans across several state agencies and offices, including Gov. Jim Gibbon’s administration, the Nevada Commission on Ethics, the Nevada Public Utilities Commission, the Nevada Gaming Commission, and the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

Riana Durrett will now serve as the vice chair of the CCB. First appointed to the CCB in 2020, Durrett previously served as the executive director of the Nevada Dispensary Association for six years.
