Mile High Jazz Band performs Valentine’s Day at Carson City Nugget

Treat your Valentine to “A Jazz Sampler for Sweethearts,” an evening of sweet and hot big-band music by the Mile High Jazz Band with singer Jakki Ford on Tuesday, Feb. 14 from 7-9 p.m. at Gina’s Good Life Music & Lounge inside the Carson Nugget.

The music is free, donations are welcome. Jazz Sampler for Sweethearts features the 17-member band playing jazzy versions of favorite love songs for Valentine’s Day, and other swinging, big-band selections. Ford will sing “I Caught a Touch of Your Love,” “Somebody Loves Me,” “My Funny Valentine,” and more.

Mile High Jazz Band will perform with three youth jazz bands at the Jazz Extravaganza on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at the Carson City Community Center. The event is a fundraiser in support of youth music programs. The next performance at Gina’s will be on Tuesday, March 14.
