The Carson City Symphony Association presents a “Violin and Piano House Recital” on Sunday, July 23 at 4 p.m. at a private home, 3491 Mont Blanc Court, near Jacks Valley Road south of Carson City.

The recital will entertain music lovers with a varied program of musical treats, including music by Fauré, Liszt, Beethoven, and Chopin. Tickets are $25 and are available online at www.CCSymphony.com or by calling 775-883-4154. Space is limited.

Brian Fox and Eric Kao have performed together in ensembles and as a duo for several years. They have enjoyed presenting annual summer recitals and benefit concerts in Northern Nevada.

Fox is concertmaster of the Carson City Symphony, and co-concertmaster of TOCCATA Tahoe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, and director of orchestras for the Carson City School District. He also performs with the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra and in chamber music groups. He holds a Ph.D. in Spanish literature.

Kao is musical director and accompanist for the Sierra High Notes chorus in Reno. He is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, with a Master of Music in collaborative piano.

He also earned a dual bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and piano performance with a minor in mathematics at UNR.

This recital is a benefit for Carson City Symphony’s music and educational programs.
