Letter to the Editor: Shame on the governor

I am dismayed to see that Gov. Lombardo has withdrawn from a commitment that would put Nevada on the path to healthier air and reduced energy costs for all Nevadans.

I am talking about the U.S. Climate Alliance, a coalition of more than two dozen governors committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and transitioning away from costly and unhealthy natural gas.

As Las Vegans’ swelter in 116-degree heat, instead of doing the right thing for all Nevadans, he has shown how beholden he is to his campaign contributors – Southwest Gas and the fossil fuel industry. A course that will only make us all hotter. Shame on the governor!
