UPDATE: Missing Carson man found safe in California

UPDATE, Wednesday, May 10, 7:50 a.m.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office said Richard Coen has been located.

“With the assistance of the California Highway Patrol, Richard Coen has been safely located in Redwood City, California,” CCSO said in an email Wednesday morning. “Coen was taken to an area hospital to be reunited with his family.”

Coen is described as a 78-year-old male, 6-feet 1-inches tall, 200 pounds, with gray hair, and a mustache. Coen was last seen wearing blue jeans, a hooded sweater, tennis shoes and a hat.

Coen’s vehicle, a gray 2003 Mazda pick-up bearing Nevada license plate #813-LYY was last seen driving west bound on Interstate 80 in Reno, toward the California state line.
