‘Nutcracker Ballet’ this weekend in Carson City

The Northern Nevada Dance Co., will present the 34th annual “Nutcracker Ballet” this weekend. Performances are set for 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in the Bob Boldrick Theater at the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St.

Performances will feature professional dancers Gabrielle Collins and Jace Pauly from the Smuin Contemporary Ballet. Dylan Keane of Sacramento Ballet will perform as the Snow King, as well as the Cavalier with Isabella Velasquez, Sacramento ballet, as his sugar plum.

Erica Chipp-Adams and Oliver Adams will return to inspire audiences as the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier. Alexander Cain Biber will captivate with his magical rendition of Drosselmyer.

Kelsey Gerber will take the stage as the Chinese Soloist, and Gretchen Lewall will deliver a captivating performance as the Arabian soloist.

Performances are open to all ages. Tickets start at $31 for general admission and $27 for seniors and students.
