Carson Chamber Singers present ‘Joseph & James’ concerts Oct. 20-21

Carson Chamber Singers will present Joseph & James on Friday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Carson City, and on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. at Epworth United Methodist Church in Fallon.

The program combines classical and contemporary music. It features Joseph Haydn's Missa brevis Sancti Joannis de Deo, known as Kleine Orgelmesse (The Little Organ Mass), and songs recorded by James Taylor: "Mocking Bird," "Sweet Baby James," "Up on the Roof," "That Lonesome Road," "Fire and Rain," and "Your Smiling Face."

General admission tickets are $18. Tickets for seniors (ages 62 and over), students, and members of the Carson City Symphony Association are $15. Youth ages 18 and under are free. Tickets are available online at www.CCSymphony.com, on Facebook.com/CarsonCitySymphony, and at the door.

The Carson Chamber Singers is open to singers high-school age and above. They perform in five or more concerts each year. Participation is free.
