Carson City Pop Warner is looking for coaches for both the football and cheerleading programs for the 2024 season. For the first time since the COVID pandemic, CCPW has a full board of directors and are excited for the upcoming season. However, as the season approaches CCPW is struggling to find head coaches for many football and cheer teams.

Carson City Pop Warner is a non-profit youth football and cheerleading program that is operated 100 percent by volunteers.
Each season, the program provides tackle football and cheerleading activities to approximately 250 boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 14 years old. The program works closely with the Carson High School Football program to prepare participants for the next step in their sports journey.
The league holds several training events that help prepare volunteers for their coaching adventure. The time commitment ranges from 15-20 hours a week. Typically practice times are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Games are typically two hours on Friday or Saturday.
Coaches are needed for the following teams:
6U Football (5-6 year olds)

8U Football (7-8 year olds)

12U Football (11-12 year olds)

Mitey Mite Cheer (7, 8, 9 year olds)
Pee Wee Cheer (9, 10, 11 year olds)
Junior Varsity Cheer (10, 11, 12, 13 year olds)
Varsity Cheer (12, 13, 14 year olds)

If anyone is interested in coach football or cheer for the 2024 season, contact Sara Eklund at 775-720-4226 or by email at carsoncitypopwarnerpresident@gmail.com.
