Thank you to all our sustaining members, sponsors and volunteers. We couldn't do it without you.

Two great movies for you this weekend and they are free. Playing this Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m. is the terrific fantasy adventure film “The Neverending Story.”

On his way to school, Bastian ducks into a bookstore to avoid bullies. Sneaking away with a book called “The Neverending Story,” Bastian begins reading it in the school attic. The novel is about Fantasia, a fantasy land threatened by “The Nothing,” a darkness that destroys everything it touches. The kingdom needs the help of a human child to survive. When Bastian reads a description of himself in the book, he begins to wonder if Fantasia is real and needs him to survive.

Starring Noah Hathaway, Barret Oliver, Tami Stronach and Gerald McRaney.

Our second feature both evenings is part one of the classic 1939 historical romance film “Gone with the Wind,” an epic Civil War drama that focuses on the life of petulant Southern belle Scarlett O'Hara.

Starting with her idyllic life on a sprawling plantation, the film traces her survival through the tragic history of the South during the Civil War and Reconstruction along with her tangled love affairs with Ashley Wilkes and Rhett Butler. Starring Vivien Leigh, Clark Gable, Olivia de Havilland, Hattie McDaniel and Leslie Howard.

Part two of “Gone with the Wind” will be shown next weekend.

See you at the movies.
