Western Nevada College will host its annual job fair and professional development event for the nursing program on Tuesday.

WNC’s first- and second-year nursing students, as well as nursing assistant students, will visit with representatives of hospitals, health care facilities, higher education programs and more during event in WNC’s Carson Nugget Hall on the Carson City campus. More than 120 WNC students are expected to participate.

The event is scheduled for noon to 3 p.m. on the second floor of the Aspen Building.

The event is presented by the National Student Nurses Association (WNC Chapter) to assist nurses in securing future employment, interviewing with hospitals and health care facilities, learning more about available scholarship funding through WNC Foundation and gaining more knowledge about four-year colleges and its bachelor degree options.

Participating vendors include Renown Regional Medical Center, St Mary’s, Carson Tahoe Hospital, Carson Valley Health, Banner Churchill Hospital, Mount Grant General Hospital, Pershing General Hospital and Nursing, Western Nevada Surgical Center, Northern Nevada Correctional Center, U.S. Navy, Carson Tahoe Transitional Rehabilitation Center, Ormsby Post Acute Rehab, Mountain View Health and Rehabilitation, Centerwell Home Health, Circle of Life Hospice, Neurorestorative 4Kids, American Sentinel College of Nursing and Health Sciences/POST, Orvis School of Nursing at UNR, POST University, Grand Canyon University, Chamberlain University, University of Phoenix, Nevada State University, WNC Financial Aid and WNC Foundation.
