Spring sports kick off the final season of the school year beginning this weekend even though Mother Nature has different plans in mind.

With temperatures forecast to be in the 30s with a chance of rain and snow, the Greenwave baseball team opens the season with the Mike Bearman Tournament in Reno while the track and field team will host a small meet Friday at the Edward Arciniega Athletic Complex. The swim team travels to North Tahoe on Friday for its first meet.

The Greenwave softball team will begin its season next week with a doubleheader at South Tahoe while the boys golf team doesn’t have its first tournament until March 25 in Dayton.
