I am grateful for the conviction of Trump for felony election conspiracy and cover up by a jury of his peers – as selected by his own legal representatives.
Despite his best efforts to undermine our free and fair elections, Trump is being held accountable. While this case is just one of many criminal cases against him, it is a crucial first step to remind Americans of all stripes that no one is above the law.
The cynical efforts of some MAGA promoters to intimidate everyday Americans against speaking truth to power, serving in government, or even working in elections can be overcome when we stand together to stand up for democracy.
