NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that two public hearings will be held in the Churchill County Administrative Complex, 155 North Taylor Street, County Commission Chambers, Fallon, Nevada:
1. Beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday,
April 10, 2024, the Churchill County
Planning Commission will hold a public
hearing regarding the request below.
2. Beginning at 8:15 a.m. on Thursday,
May 2, 2024, the Board of County
Commissioners will hold a public hearing
regarding the request below.
Consideration and possible action re: An application for the abandonment of road easements filed by NV Energy. The properties are north of Interstate 80, Assessor’s Parcel Numbers 004-351-09, 004-351-11, and 004- 351-15, consisting of 640 acres each in the RR-20 zoning district. The applicant requests to abandon multiple road easements across the parcels.
If you cannot attend the Planning Commission meeting, written comments may be submitted to the Public Works, Planning & Zoning Department, 155 N Taylor Street, Suite 194, Fallon, NV 89406, before 4:00 p.m., April 9, 2024. If you cannot attend the Board of County Commission meeting, written comments may be submitted to the Clerk/Treasurer’s Office, 155 N Taylor Street, Suite 110, Fallon, NV 89406, before 4:30 p.m., May 1, 2024. A copy of the application is on file and available for public inspection at the Churchill County Public Works, Planning & Zoning Department. We will also post a scanned copy of the application with our Planning Commission agenda on our web page at www.churchillcountynv.gov under Agendas & Minutes. The Planning Commission will make a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners, who will make a final decision.
