TOPGUN Gym sending Fallon athletes to national event

Fallon’s TOPGUN gymnastics and TOPGUN tumbling teams recently competed in the Nevada State Championships.

The gymnastics competition took place at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, the culminating event for the season, and five athletes placed on the top three podium.

Cambria Dixon scored a first place in bar with a 9.875, a first place in beam with a 9.600, a third place in vault with a 9.400 and a first place finish All Around with a 38.175 in Xcel Silver. Dixon is the current Nevada State Champion in her age group and ranked 11th in the state across all ages.

Arianna Abernathy had a second place finish on vault in Xcel Silver with a score of 9.325.

Adelynn Wood took third place on bar in Xcel Bronze with a score of 9.675, Cheveah

Christiano won third place on vault in Xcel Bronze with a score of 9.425 and Allyson Perez scored a 9.650 on bar earning her a third place finish in Xcel Silver.

The tumbling championship competition at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno resulted in three athletes who qualified to represent Fallon at the national level. Marlee Elquist earned National Qualifier at Level 5 Floor and Trampoline, Gemma Lambson earned National Qualifier at Level 6 Floor and Level 5 Trampoline and Amili Silveria earned National Qualifier at Level 6 Floor and Level 5 Trampoline.

The national qualifiers will take the stage in Dallas from July 19-21.
