The Carson City Bruzers AYSO Division 5 boys soccer team remained undefeated with a 12-1 win against the Gekos on Saturday at Edmonds Sports Complex.
Al Jimenez scored the game's first four goals, with assists from Michael Kaskie and Adam Updegrove.
Strong defensive play by Cody Williams and Brandon Briggs helped keep the Geckos scoreless during the first quarter.
The Bruzers added to their lead in the second quarter when Updegrove scored, with assists from Erik Henrikson and Eric Roberson. During the third quarter, Eric Gundrum scored with an assist by Adam Updegrove. And in the fourth quarter, Aaron Hall and Pedro Fuentes penetrated into scoring range and set up Eric Gundrum to score the
final goal.
Erick Sperske joined with Michael Kaskie and Alex Garcia to throw up a
strong defense against the Geckos.
