The Douglas High School volleyball team maintained its share of first-place in the Northern 4A Sierra League race with a straight set victory against Hug on Tuesday in Reno.
Douglas won the match 15-5, 15-1, 15-6, to improve its conference record to 12-2 and remain in a first-place tie with Carson. The Tigers and Senators wrap up their regular season next Thursday in Minden.
Jamie McCreary handed out 20 assists to go with one kill, one ace and one dig for Douglas. Emily Haas contributed six kills and two blocks, Andrea Honer 5 kills and two digs, Jennifer McCrosky McCrosky had five digs, Nicole Weber four kills and two digs, and Brittany Addeo one ace to go with six assists.
