House of Horrors is just ... horrifying

This past Saturday night, I had the opportunity to go through the Carson City Jaycees Haunted House of Horrors. While my wife and I were waiting our turn in line, the screams coming from inside almost made me change my mind!

Finally, it was our turn. I put my fears aside and entered. I was amazed at the job and creativity that went into building this house.

Despite the fact that the house was much smaller than it was for the past two years when it was constructed at the Ormsby House, my experience was every bit as exciting and haunting! There were 14 different rooms, each with its own personality and ingenuity. You don't even have time to imagine what is going to happen next because before you know it ... you're right in the middle of it! We paid $5 for our tickets, and in my opinion, it was worth every penny!

I commend the Carson City Jaycees for their efforts in bringing a spectacular haunted house to the Carson City area, not to mention that once again, the Jaycees have invited other nonprofit organizations to participate in this thrill. All proceeds for this house will be divvied up amongst the organizations participating. What a great opportunity for all involved.

I encourage everyone to attend this event at the Frontier Mall (on the corner of Winnie Lane and Carson Street). Not only will you have an experience that you will talk about for months to come, but you will also be helping your local charities and giving them the ability to continue to provide wonderful service to the Carson City community.
