Letter: It's a moral issue, not one of bigotry

In response to Kit Miller's article (Oct. 24, "Does Nevada still want to be Mississippi of West?") I am really tired of having labels attached to me because I disagree with someone's lifestyle.

I think it is ironic that Miller would use excerpts out of the Bible to prove her point and then state that "the idea of putting our democracy in the hands of the Christian Right is scary".

She also uses the term "civil rights" liberally as it is OK for anyone to do what every they want. This is a typical liberal emotional reaction to try and shame anyone that does not agreee with her viewpoint.

I am not a bigot or a racist. I just believe in my moral values and morally I will use my right (in accordance with what is good, proper or just) as a citizen to disagree.

But then it is really silly to disagree with a woman that places getting "tons of money" over moral values of the many.
